Theodore E. Cowen
Ted joined the firm as a partner in 1998. Although he is now “of counsel” with Grasch & Gudalis, Ted continues a varied practice, including first amendment rights, contract disputes, business torts, employment law, estates, domestic relations, bankruptcy and personal injury.
Prior to entering the field of law, Ted was a pastor with the United Methodist Church. He also worked for Comprehensive Care in western Kentucky, ultimately directing the organization’s regional substance abuse program. Before joining the firm, Ted practiced with Miller, Griffin & Marks, PSC, serving as the firm’s managing director for a time.
Ted is a graduate of Vanderbilt University (B.A., cum laude, 1970; M. Div., 1976) and the University of Kentucky College of Law (J.D. with high distinction, 1985) where he graduated first in his class. Ted was also elected to the Order of the Coif and served as Editor-in-Chief of the Kentucky Law Journal.
